This book is first and foremost a tribute to master bead embroidery artist, Reiko Matsukawa, now retired, who dedicated more than 50 years of her career to developing and teaching Japanese Style Bead Embroidery. It aims to continue her legacy and pass on the high standards and traditions that she has brought to the Art of Japanese Style Bead Embroidery. It also encompasses aspects of my personal experience and approach as a long-time practitioner of Chinese Art Embroidery and traditional Japanese Embroidery.
